Simchat Torah, meaning “Rejoicing with the Torah,” is one of the most joyful celebrations on the Jewish calendar. It marks the completion of the annual cycle of Torah readings and the immediate beginning of the cycle again with the opening words of Genesis—a reminder that our study and discovery of Torah never truly end. All are invited to attend Sukkot Musical Shabbat and experience community connection through meaningful prayer and uplifting song. A special Oneg celebrating September birthdays will follow services in our handcrafted JCM Sukkah.

Sukkot is one of the three ancient Jewish pilgrimage festivals and one of Judaism’s most joyful holidays. Beginning just five days after Yom Kippur, Sukkot brings a striking change in mood. After the introspection and solemnity of the High Holy Days, we are commanded to rejoice. Sukkot begins on the evening of September 25 and continues until sundown on October 2, 2026. The service will be held as scheduled. The outdoor Oneg in the Sukkah has been canceled due to the likelihood of storm.
